When it rains it pours. December-January

It would seem that despite the early season dread of no snow till February the snow gods remained resilient and promptly delivered on of the heaviest single snow falls seen in years. This was promptly backed up with reinforcements consistently for two weeks.

Cue the big Le POWski.

Fornet, Matisse, Danaides and Home Run it seems were spots that we would become well aquainted with in the opening days of the season. Lines from the white hare, rock garden, L and super L all being on the menu.

Seek and destroy.

Our cliff policy being the first real topic on the agenda.

Spinning!

First real back country jibbing felt good.

Stretch.

These barriers proved quite addictive.

Dropping!

It seemed however that Matt new what he wanted to do that day.

So fun.

Even in low light the barriers where still a fun hobby.

Pillow attack.

JP testing the depth of the pillow bashing spot we found.

The rock garden looking like a bag of marshmellows

Pretty sweet shot of Matt opening up the rock garden.

Stomped it!

Matt still badgering the Danaides cliffs.

Its a good day for Will

Mincing around in home run for the whole day was pretty satisfying considering we where the only two people in there all day.

Enjoy!

Every track you can see belongs to the Left-Collective. What a day!!

With the weather turning as we got deeper into December bigger shit calling.

First up. Little AK

Up we go!

Boot packing with a view.

Looks good!

Whos goin first?

Ride Rider Jack Austin

Austin throwing down set the bench mark.

Still in cliff mode!

Theres was only one way to go.

Hmmm. Which way!

Pistuers was up next.

Still room for a slash turn!

After the choke it was deep enough.

JP found it deep enough form the start.

Shit light. Nice snow.

Next up we hiked up Mickeys Ears to see what the conditions were like.

Will elected to have a look.

Unskiable it turns out.

However the back side rendered some better results.

Will went first.

We were all jealous.

He rocked a higher better line.

It looked worth the extra walk.

Will Wright was looking for the sun.

Spray that shit!

Missed the turning.

We ended up missing the shoulder for the ride out of the Lavachet Wall. Cue slow annoying hike.

Last hits of the day where still worth it.

Well in JP.

All in all despite a few injuries varying from dislocated shoulders, strained ligaments and punctured lungs (all details available on the Left-Collective facebook page) it has been one hell of a month and, whats that? Oh its snowing again.

Check in soon to find out how January is going.
